CBC Launches New Sports Site

Sports coverage took on a new look Wednesday, October 1, 2008, on WRAL.com as the WRAL Sports team and their partners at 99.9 The Fan combined to produce a new site, www.wralsportsfan.com.
The site, which launched at noon, fuses the efforts of television and radio into one place.
WRALSportsFan.com features a bold, colorful look that highlights the content flowing from our various platforms. The new site will have the most recent news, fresh insight and all the video and audio that only Capitol Broadcasting can deliver.

WRALSportsFan.com brings together the resources of WRAL-TV, 99.9 FM The Fan and WRAL.com. That allows us to have more than 20 people gathering the day’s news, providing insight and commentary, and keeping the site updated with the latest sports developments. Our radio, TV and online staffs will deliver a true multimedia Web experience – video, audio, slideshows, forums, blogs, columns and stories. In other words, we are much stronger as a team than as separate sports staffs.
The new design will highlight our best coverage while giving you quick access to your favorite local teams with the new customizable menu. Just give “My Teams” a click to get started.
This is a major step toward establishing Capitol Broadcasting as the primary source for sports news and insight in the Triangle.
