On Thursday, October 30, 2008, Capitol Broadcasting Company President Jim Goodmon announced that Steven D. Hammel has been named Vice President & General Manager of WRAL-TV. The appointment is effective November 10.
Hammel comes to WRAL from Phoenix, where he served as Vice President & General Manager of KPHO-TV, the CBS affiliate in the nation’s twelfth largest television market.
