Leadership Triangle Seeking Nominations To Honor Regional Thinking
The 2008 Goodmon Awards are around the corner in December, and they are looking for nominees. Named for CBC President & CEO Jim Goodmon, the awards honor individuals and groups in the Triangle for their regional leadership. Leadership Triangle, for which Goodmon chairs the board, sponsors the annual gala to present the honors.
“As communities across the Triangle come to understand the importance of working together, regional thinking and regional cooperation become more essential to our individual and collective well being,” reads the awards purpose statement. “Yet we have few mechanisms in place for rewarding such regional foresight and action. As a result, Leadership Triangle has established these annual awards in honor of James F. Goodmon to recognize leaders and organizations in our community who are regionally minded and exhibit that frame of mind in their personal and professional lives.”
Categories for nomination include:
- Exemplary Regional Leadership by an Individual
- Exemplary Regional Leadership by a Public Official
- Exemplary Regional Leadership by an Organization
- Exemplary Regional Leadership by a Partnership
