Capitol Broadcasting Company’s MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM announced on Wednesday, January 21, 2009, that WRAL-TV’s morning anchor, Lynda Loveland, will now co-host the Triangle’s popular morning show with veteran, Bill Jordan, starting Monday, January 26th.
MIX 101.5 posted the big announcement on their website that Lynda Loveland will join Bill Jordan on the MIX morning show. |
“Lynda brings a treasure trove of qualities to the morning show; she has a wonderful sense of humor and her core values are aligned with those of our target listener. The market knows her well from her success on WRAL-TV,” commented Ardie Gregory, Vice President and General Manager for MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM. “We are delighted to have her join the radio side of the CBC family recognizing that TV’s loss is certainly our gain.”
“I am absolutely thrilled about moving over to MIX 101.5. It’s an opportunity to try something a little different and have a great time doing it,” said Loveland. “I’m also excited to be staying in the Capitol Broadcasting Company family. I can’t wait to join the team of Bill Jordan, Vanna Fox and Wayne Michaels.”
MIX’s Bill Jordan announces that Loveland will be his new co-host on his check-on WRAL-TV’s Morning News on Wed, January 21st. |

Loveland is a native of Springfield, Missouri, and received her degree in broadcast journalism from the University of North Texas. She has been a reporter for KLST-TV, KOMU-TV, and most recently with WRAL-TV 5 for the past 10 years. Sports, cooking, gardening and James Patterson books are her passions. Loveland and her husband, Randall, are the proud parents of three children, Campbell, Caiden and Carys.
“It’s not often talent moves from TV to Radio, so we feel very fortunate to have someone of Lynda’s caliber joining us,” added Barry Fox, Program Director for MIX 101.5. “As a working Mom, Lynda will bring a perspective to the show that our audience will enjoy daily.”
