May is a good month to be a Bulls fan! The Durham Bulls are the featured photo for the month of May in two, 2009 Calendars…the North Carolina Governor’s Highway Safety Calendar and the Baseball America Great Parks Calendar.
The Governors’ Highway Safety Calendar features police department photos from around the state. The Durham Police Department had their photo taken on the field at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park with everyone’s favorite mascot, Wool E. Bull.
“The Durham Bulls are a long standing part of the history of the city of Durham and most people in the Triangle area and throughout the state identify Durham with the Durham Bulls,” Durham Police Department Sergeant Todd Willett said, “Plus, (the Bulls) support the Governor’s Highway Safety Program.”
The Bulls also made their third appearance in Baseball America’s Great Parks Calendar this year, the last time in 2004. Major and Minor League teams across the country submit their ballpark photos for selection.
While the Governor’s Highway Patrol calendar is not available for sale to the public, you can order a Baseball America calendar by clicking here.
