CBS 10 WILM plans to hold an open casting call for CBS’ hit television show The Amazing Race. The casting call will be for Wilmington and surrounding areas and will take place Monday, March 16th, 2009.
The casting call will be held at Mayfaire’s City Tavern centrally located at 890 Town Center Drive in Wilmington. Auditions will begin at 6pm and will conclude at 9pm. Foz and Tina from Wilmington’s Z107.5 will be on-hand from 6-7pm hosting a live remote from the casting venue.

The Open Casting Call will be auditioning teams of possible contestants for its 15th season due to air next year on CBS. This hit reality series pairs up participants who travel the world competing to win the ultimate scavenger hunt.
Weekly episodes are known to include anything from completing challenging tasks to teams navigating their way through unknown terrain in exotic countries.
The fast-paced reality series has been a hit with viewers, winning the People’s Choice Award in 2008 for Best Reality Series. Other accolades include an astonishing seven Emmy awards over the last thirteen seasons.
“We have not held an open casting call in the last four years, so we are very excited to make this opportunity available for Amazing Race fans in Southeastern North Carolina” said CBS 10 WILM’s Local Sales Manager, Terry Talbott. Talbott went on to add, “To have a shot at being the next big winner on this multiple Emmy winning reality show is huge and would be great for our area.”
WILM will hold the March 16th auditions at Mayfaire City Tavern in Wilmington.
