Chick-fil-A Teams with Bulls to Help DBYAL
|
Chick-fil-A and the Durham Bulls are partnering on two select dates this season to benefit the Durham Bulls Youth Athletic League.
This ongoing campaign has been quite successful over the past several seasons, providing children in Durham with equipment to pursue their dreams of playing for the Bulls one day.
Fans who donate slightly used or new bats, gloves, balls, catcher’s equipment or any other gear will receive a Chick-fil-A prize pack with a coupon for a free meal and a stuffed cow toy.
The first date for the drive was Saturday, July 4th for US National Team and the Fireworks spectacular following the game. There was a tent set up adjacent to the Wool E. World playground area and Chick-fil-A concession stand where the equipment was be collected. These items will be donated to the DBYAL, a recreational league that is run by the City of Durham to provide baseball in inner-city neighborhoods. The second night will be the last Saturday of the regular season, September 5th.
The Bulls and Chick-fil-A are excited about continuing the community tradition that has been established and look forward to seeing you out at the games.
Tickets for the September 5th game are available at www.durhambulls.com or by phone at 919-956-BULL.
