Metro Magazine marked the 10th anniversary of their MetroBravo awards in the July 2009 issue, and CBC celebrated by having multiple personalities and more on the list. Metro Magazine readers voted for the “Best of Everything” in dozens of categories. Each category had a Standing Ovation, MetroBravo and Honorable Mention ranking.
WRAL.com beat out national websites, sweeping the online categories, WRAL-TV personalities were all over the place, with WRAL-TV Anchor Bill Leslie even ranking on the music chart.

Metro Loves the Mushroom
An American Tobacco restaurant made the MetroBravo list multiple times. Mellow Mushroom made the following lists for all its Triangle locations, which includes its restaurant across from the Durham Bulls: the MetroBravo for Outdoor Dining, a Standing Ovation for Pizza, and an Honorable Mention for Margaritas.
