Would You Walk Two Miles to Save a Life?

Light the Night The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will kickoff their Light The Night Walk season on July 27, 2009, with the Durham Bulls.  The Light The Night Walk is the nation’s evening event to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer.

Light the Night raises funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Eastern NC.

Eastern North Carolina Light The Night Walks, presented by Capitol Broadcasting Company, will be Saturday, Oct. 17 in downtown Raleigh and Thursday, Oct. 22 in downtown Durham.

During the two-mile walk, participants carry illuminated balloons to light the night with hope – red for supporters, white for survivors and gold in memory of a loved one lost. The evening also includes dinner, music, entertainment and children’s activities.

Join the Light The Night Walk now by clicking here. Light The Night Walkers will be coming out to the ballpark on July 27 to honor local leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma survivors, and to kick off their fundraising efforts to reach the LLS goal of more than $400,000 towards a cure for blood cancer!
