Light the Night Campaign Kicks Off at Durham Bulls Would You Walk Two Miles to Save a Life? |
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will kickoff their Light The Night Walk season on July 27, 2009, with the Durham Bulls. The Light The Night Walk is the nation’s evening event to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer.

Eastern North Carolina Light The Night Walks, presented by Capitol Broadcasting Company, will be Saturday, Oct. 17 in downtown Raleigh and Thursday, Oct. 22 in downtown Durham.
During the two-mile walk, participants carry illuminated balloons to light the night with hope – red for supporters, white for survivors and gold in memory of a loved one lost. The evening also includes dinner, music, entertainment and children’s activities.
