99.9FM The Fan ESPN Radio was on-site at the beautiful Grandover Resort in Greensboro July 25-26, 2009. No, they were not there relaxing by the pool or playing golf, (well, maybe just a little golf) but instead providing complete coverage of the ACC Football Media Days.

This was the second straight year The Fan has provided extensive coverage of football Media Days. This year, The Fan provided nine total live hours of talk show coverage including seven straight hours on Monday.

ACC Football Media Days is the chance for members of the media to meet with all the head football coaches, Athletic Directors and a few top players from each team. In addition, on the last day, the media vote for how they think each of the twelve teams will finish in the ACC.

Not only was The Fan broadcasting live but they kept the listeners updated minute by minute with online photos, videos and Facebook updates. In fact, our slideshow online generated 14,746 page views over four days highlighting our guys talking to the big name guests.

According to The Fan staff that attended, the conference understands the importance of events like this. “ACC media days was a first class experience. The Conference really knows how to take care of the media,” said Scott Jackson, co-host of The Insiders.

With college football just a few weeks away, the coverage of ACC Football Media Days gave The Fan listeners a small sample of what they’ll hear all season long.

The Fan’s coverage was provided by: Mike Mansicalco, Dave Shore, Mark Thomas, Scott Jackson, Tim Hall and was kept on-the-air by Jay Bell.

Thanks to 99.9 The Fan’s Brandon Alexander for this capcom story & these capcom photos.
