On Monday, September 28, 2009, Charlotte’s WJZY will begin airing The Daily Buzz weekdays from 7-9am. The Daily Buzz is a live morning news show syndicated on stations around the nation which originates from studios in Orlando, Florida.
“The addition of The Daily Buzz will get us into the early morning news business, which has been a goal for years,” said Station Manager/Director of Sales Shawn Harris.
“We believe the program is a good fit for our younger, mostly female audience,” added Harris.
The Daily Buzz show provides breaking news from CNN, plus entertainment, technology, fashion segments and weather in a fun, informative style. Within the show there is an opportunity for local weather as well as a community information segment called Charlotte Buzz.
Charlotte Buzz will showcase local businesses and give them an opportunity to promote products in a form that is longer than the typical commercial avail.
“This allows advertisers to talk directly to our market and showcase their business and staff,” said Local Sales Manager Matt Livoti. “It is an exciting time for our account executives and our advertisers, Livoti added.
