“A world without breast cancer.”
That’s the mission of the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Komen is a fearless fighter for its cause and WRAL-TV is inspired to be ongoing partners in that important mission .
At a sponsor appreciation dinner, Komen awarded WRAL-TV its inaugural Impact Award.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure NC Triangle Executive Director Pam Blondin said, “WRAL-TV has been an invaluable partner in our fight against this devastating disease. We’ve seen a measureable increase in awareness and fundraising since establishing our partnership. Their entire staff has embraced our mission, and their ability to reach so many with our message has allowed the entire community to embrace it as well. It was our honor to present WRAL TV with the 2009 Komen NC Triangle Impact Award. Their work on our behalf is having a significant impact on our promise to end breast cancer forever. They are saving lives.”
