FOX 50’s first annual Family Fest was a huge success!
FOX 50 created the event, held October 3, 2009 at the American Tobacco Campus. MIX 101.5’s Jim Kelly emceed the day’s events, which included everything from fire safety and wildlife demonstrations to face painting and balloon art. The Scrap Exchange was even on hand to help families create their own artwork.
Musical entertainment at Family Fest included kids band Sandbox, the Latin beat of Carnivalito, and Sanity Station, featuring FOX 50’s own Niel Sollod on guitar. A performance by legendary blues guitarist Cool John Ferguson capped the day.
