MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM Hosts 3rd Annual Lipstick Luncheon Radio Station Presents a Day Out for Women of the Triangle

MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM will host its 3rd Annual Lipstick Luncheon on Saturday, March 27, 2009 at the Raleigh Marriott City Center in downtown Raleigh, from 10 am to 3 pm.
Bill Jordan and Lynda Loveland of MIX 101.5’s Bill & Lynda in the Morning will kick-off the event which will include a guest speaker, fashion show by Crabtree Valley Mall, medical question and answer session with Rex Healthcare experts, shopping opportunities, lunch and more.
Geralyn Lucas, author of “Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy” will be the Lipstick Luncheon keynote speaker.
Lucas’ book was later developed as a Lifetime Television Network movie. Lucas’ focus is on the strength and power it takes to overcome breast cancer and other obstacles that women face. She is encouraging, inspirational and enlightening.
Last year’s successful Lipstick Luncheon drew over 500 women from across the Triangle for a day of special events and programs that focused on women’s interests and concerns.
Lipstick Luncheon tickets are $25, which includes lunch and a fun ‘swag bag.’ Registration for the event begins at 9 am. Tickets can be purchased by printing out the order form at wralfm.com and sending the completed order form with payment to the

A portion of the Lipstick Luncheon event proceeds will benefit The Healing Place of Wake County. The Healing Place of Wake County is a recovery and rehabilitation facility for homeless people with alcohol and drug dependency, located in Raleigh, NC. Their mission is to offer innovative recovery and rehabilitation to homeless alcoholic and chemically dependent men and women.
