Prevent Child Abuse North Carolina recently honored Capitol Broadcasting Company with the organization’s Corporate Leadership Award. PCANC presented the award during their 30th anniversary leadership awards luncheon at the Prestonwood Country Club in Cary on Wednesday, April 21, 2010.
The Corporate Leadership Award honors a company or business that demonstrates the value of giving back to the community by strongly supporting PCANC’s mission.
PCANC honored five other individuals and organizations during the event. All six winners were recognized for supporting programs that strengthen families’ abilities to provide nurturing, responsive care to their children, improve child health and development and ultimately preventing child maltreatment.
FOX 50 Vice President & General Manager Tommy Schenck is a board member of PCANC. He accepted the award on CBC’s behalf at the luncheon.
