The latest incarnation of CBC’s band, Transmit This: Read-Aid will battle it out for literacy at American Tobacco on Saturday, May 15th. |
Things are about to get very loud in downtown Durham, but for a good cause. The latest mutation of Capitol Broadcasting’s in-house band Transmit This will be battling it out with other corporate-types at the 2010 Triangle Corporate Battle of the Bands on Saturday, May 15th at American Tobacco.
Transmit This: Read-Aid will take the stage under the Lucky Strike Water Tower to prove their metal and help Operation Literacy. Coordinated by The Hill Center, Operation Literacy helps children learn to read in small group settings with a tailored curriculum. All ticket sales for the battle will go directly to Operation Literacy.
The CBC bands includes rockers from a variety of divisions. Yes, you may see them as salesperson, HR workers, graphic designers, broadcast operators, and car salesmen by day, but by night they take on rock-star alter-egos and burst amps.
Transmit This: Read-Aid will rock your world. So get your tickets today, plan an evening of fun, cheer on CBC’ers willing to make a fool of themselves on stage, and help children have better futures all at the same time.
The Triangle Corporate Battle of the Bands kicks off at 8pm on Saturday, May 15th. Get your tickets here. And remember, all ticket sales go to Operation Literacy.
