American Tobacco Duck Race To Expand to Benefit Three Groups Focus on Duke Children’s Hospital |
Two of last year’s most popular events in downtown Durham are joining forces in 2010. The Great American Tobacco Duck Race, which has become an annual event, and FOX 50’s Family Fest, new last year but sure to become a fall regular, will take place together on Saturday, October 2, 2010.
During the weeks before the big race, capcom is featuring all three of the non-profits which will benefit from the event.
For our second profile, Duke Children’s Hospital.
Taking Care of Our Children
This second organization is near and dear to the heart of another CBC division, WRAL-FM MIX 101.5 Each year MIX holds a February radiothon which has begun topping the million dollar mark on a regular basis. Now American Tobacco & FOX 50 will join in the support with a bevy of ducks rolling down the Old Bull River.
