FOX 50’s Family Fest Returns to North Carolina for Year Two!

FOX 50 (WRAZ-TV) is excited to announce the return of the FOX 50 FAMILY FEST to the American Tobacco Campus in downtown Durham, Saturday, October 2, 2010!
The FOX 50 Family Fest is a free event focusing on family, health, safety, science, education, community awareness, and most importantly family fun!
The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 2 at the American Tobacco Campus in downtown Durham, from Noon until 5:00pm.
Families will have the chance to meet meteorologist Greg Fishel, experience the National Jump Rope Champions, “The Bouncing Bulldogs”, take part in field games & fitness zones with the YMCA, see exhibits from the Morehead Planetarium, NC Museum of Natural Sciences and even get up close with live, exotic animals from Noah’s Landing. The event also includes Wii & X-Box gaming stations, live music by Sandbox Kids & Family Fun band, face painting, balloon art and a chance to win a $500 shopping spree!
The highlight of the event will be The Great American Tobacco Duck Race, hosted by Mark Roberts, which benefits local charities. Prizes will be awarded for 1st through 3rd places and include Duke Men’s Basketball tickets, Panthers tickets, Broadway Series tickets and much more.
FOX 50 Family Fest is a rain or shine event and has been made possible by these community partners: Talecris Biotherapeutics, Duke Medicine, Primrose School at Hope Valley Farms, YMCA of the Triangle, The City of Durham Saves Water and Law Offices of James Scott Farrin.
