WRAL-TV’s Tar Heel Traveler salutes some memorable characters in a 30-minute special on Wednesday, January 26th.
From the movies we meet a famous filmmaker from North Carolina, a well known wolfman, gangster Godfather, and man-eating plant.
There are also Tar Heel Traveler stories on travelers, including a family band living on a bus and a newspaper carrier wearing out her cars.

The Tar Heel Traveler takes us to fascinating places across the state and into the lives of memorable characters.
