The Durham Bulls host Project Homeless Connect for the fifth year. |
Project Homeless Connect was held at Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Thursday October 13, 2011.
The project is in it’s fifth year in Durham and has provided assistance to over 1200 individuals during the first four years, including 480 in 2010.
The event has grown in participation throughout its five year history, due to an increased awareness of homelessness in the community.
The project provides a single place for the homeless to receive multiple services including medical, social, employment, housing, and educational services. In addition the event also provides both spiritual services and counseling as well.
