Renegade Artist Champions Freedom. Justice. Equality. at American Tobacco Works By ‘Visual Activist’ Franco Opens on Martin Luther King Day, Runs January 16 – February 29 in Strickland Lobby |
For Durham’s Franco, the line between activism and art is hazy at best and even better when non-existent.
The result of his no-boundaries approach are colorful collages mixing famous activist figures along with some of their most significant quotations illustrating the importance of human rights, equality, freedom and justice.
His work will be on display at American Tobacco Campus January 16 – February 29 in the Strickland Lobby.
The event kicked-off with a reception on January 16, 2012, featuring neo-soul singer Kim Arrington.
The event and exhibit are sponsored by AT&T, American Tobacco, Fox50 and Frasier & Griffin: Attorneys at
Law.
