WRAL Celebrities Walk 4Kay Fundraiser During Game
|
The annual N.C. State Women’s Basketball Hoops for Hope game will take to the court at Reynolds Coliseum on Sunday, February 12, 2012, at 5pm. This year the tribute to Coach Kay Yow will include much more than the game. Hillsborough Street is hosting a variety of events called Play 4Kay, and the Walk 4Kay will take place again at the Hoops for Hope game.
NC State Women’s Basketball Coach Kay Yow lost her brave fight with cancer, but the folks at NC State battle on for her now. |
Several WRAL-TV celebrities, including Anchors Debra Morgan, Jeff Gravley and Kelcey Carlson, will take to the treadmill for Walk 4Kay, another great way to make a donation to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Fans bid online for a chance to walk by our celebrities and others including American Idol winner Scotty McCreery.
The celebrity participants will walk on treadmills for 15 minute increments, fueled by donations, during the NC State Women’s Basketball game. Fans bid for a chance to walk beside their celebrity of choice. The Treadmill Walk 4Kay will start 30 minutes prior to tip-off and continue til the final buzzer.

The game starts at 5pm. NC State’s traditional red will step aside for a day to make way for a court full of pink.
