FHI 360, a nonprofit human development organization headquartered in North Carolina, plans to move its offices and approximately 400 employees into the historic section of downtown Durham, N.C. after the expiration of their current lease in late 2013.
This will be the third building in the Diamond View office complex developed by Capitol Broadcasting Co.’s (CBC) real estate division. The complex is part of the revitalization of a historic section of the city– The American Tobacco Campus — where abandoned tobacco manufacturing facilities stood.
FHI 360 will occupy about 95,000 of the 130,000 square feet of the new five-story, LEED-certified building. LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, provides independent verification that a building meets national standards for practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions.
