Tony Rice Unit Plays Next FREE Concert in American Tobacco Lawn Series

American Tobacco’s FREE summer concert series goes bluegrass this Friday, May 18th, with the Tony Rice Unit.
Tony Rice is widely regarded as one of the most respected guitarists playing bluegrass today. He and his band take traditional music from North Carolina to new levels of musicianship.
The Tony Rice Unit takes the water tower stage in the FREE 2012 American Tobacco Back Porch on the Lawn Series on Friday, May 18th. |

The music begins at 6pm under the water tower. Bring a chair or blanket and pick up dinner from one of American Tobacco’s great restaurants.
On the Lawn Presented by University Ford & Kia and Bull City Bucks will fill the next five months with some old favorites and some new features sure to be a hit among Triangle citizens and beyond.

The Venue
The American Tobacco Campus is arguably one of the top venues in the Triangle for enjoying an outdoor concert in an intimate and family-friendly atmosphere. Ample parking and five fine eateries surround the lawn: Cuban Revolution, L’Uva, Tyler’s Taproom, Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers, Tobacco Road Sports Cafe and Saladelia.
Kids are welcome on the lawn where families can enjoy the Ole Bull River that runs through the middle of the campus. As a courtesy to your neighbors, no dogs or coolers please.

The Back Porch Music Series is one of several FREE summer events at American Tobacco.
