As the number of teams continues narrowing down for the Triple-A title, the Durham Bulls are getting ready to host the 2012 National Championship Game. The game kick-offs at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Tuesday, September 18th.
Fans and media alike are buzzing about the event. American Idol winner and Garner native Scotty McCreery will appear at the opening game.
The Bulls tell us, “The 2012 Gildan Triple-A National Championship Game is a one-game, winner-take-all showdown between the champions of the International and Pacific Coast Leagues. Durham is the first International League city to host Minor League Baseball’s premier event, which will be nationally televised on NBC Sports Network.”
