While workers across the nation enjoyed a great holiday weekend, several employees at Capitol Broadcasting’s CW46 (WJZY) and My TV12 (WMYT) hit the streets with Four Major Promotional events including a significant presence at The Democratic National Convention.
The weekend started very early Saturday morning September 1, 2012, as MY TV12 took part in the 20th Annual Matthews Alive Labor Day Weekend Parade. Matthews is one of Charlotte’s most popular communities, and Matthews Alive is one of the area’s must attend events as summer comes to a close.
WBTV Meteorologist Eric Thomas, the primary weather anchor on the My TV News at Ten waved to the more than 25,000 friends and fans stationed all along the parade route in the downtown Matthews area. Thomas tossed My TV 12 Frisbees into the crowd and, of course, took all the credit for the picture perfect parade weather!
Meanwhile station sales Promotion Manager Angela Golden was behind the wheel of the CW46 Ford Flex. Golden and several CW46 worker bees busily passed out hundreds of CW46 crayon sets and station pens along the parade route. From the reaction of those in attendance a great time was had by all!
