American Tobacco and the YMCA have teamed up to bring Durham a new way to play.   The pair opened the Cage, an outdoor basketball court on the American Tobacco Campus, on Thursday, October 4, 2012.  The fun ran during the lunch hour from 11:30am to 1pm.

The Cage is open to Y members and American Tobacco tenants for shooting hoop in an ultra cool location.

The grand opening culminated the YMCA Week of Wellness,  a celebration of all things fitness.  The week included an exercise Class on the Grass, a 5K Race, a Tug of War and lots of basketball hoopla on the new court.  American Tobacco Vice President of Real Estate Michael Goodmon threw out the first free throw to open the court on Oct 4th.
