WRAL-TV will help honor the memory of one of our state and national leaders, Former UNC President William C. “Bill” Friday on Wednesday.
WRAL will air the public memorial service for Friday live on Wednesday, October 17, 2012. The service begins at 10am and will run until approximately noon. The memorial service will also be available via live streaming on WRAL.com.
WRAL-TV will pay homage to Friday with a 30-minute special to honor his life and legacy at 7pm that same evening. “Remembering Bill Friday” will take a look back at the life and impact of the former University of North Carolina system president. WRAL-TV Anchor David Crabtree hosts. The special will be available on WRAL.com as well.
Friday died on October 12 at the age of 92.
