Bulls Broadcast Schedule Anchored by 53 Televised Home Games Explorer Post 50 Celebrates 15 Seasons of Producing Bulls Television Broadcasts |
The Durham Bulls recently announced their full 2013 broadcast schedule, highlighted by an increased number of local television broadcasts. The Bulls will locally televise 53 home games in 2013, all in high definition. All telecasts will again be produced by Explorer Post 50, a youth based program that provides students ages 14-20 with an opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the field of television broadcasting. Explorer Post 50, created in 1998, will celebrate its 15th anniversary in 2013.
The Explorer Post 50 produced television portion of the Bulls broadcast schedule begins the weekend of April 19-21, continues every remaining Friday through Sunday home game in April and May, and then covers all home games in June, July and August. Fans can catch the HD action on Time Warner Cable channel 1151, in standard definition on Time Warner Cable channel 151 or over-the-air TV on Me-TV channel 50.2.
“We’re extremely proud of the Explorer Post 50 program,” said Bulls General Manager Mike Birling. “While they do a tremendous job producing our broadcasts, we are equally gratified by the program’s ability to teach and mold young people into productive individuals with real-life experience.”
On the radio, the voice of the Durham Bulls Patrick Kinas will call all 144 Bulls games on 620 The Buzz. Each radio broadcast will start 15 minutes prior to first pitch, with the Durham Bulls Pregame Show. Fans can also follow every Bulls game online at durhambulls.com, via MiLB Radio and MiLB.TV, and on mobile devices with the official Durham Bulls app for iPhone and Android.
The Durham Bulls begin the 2013 International League season on the road on April 4th before returning to Durham Bulls Athletic Park on April 8th for their home opener against the Gwinnett Braves. Season tickets, 9-Game Mini Plans, and group outings are on sale now at durhambulls.com, the DBAP ticket office, or by phone at 919.956.BULL.
