UNC-TV Recognizes CBC Among Key Supporters
Capitol Broadcasting Company earned the 2013 Partner Award from UNC-TV for collaboration on news and community cultural events.
CBC and UNC-TV share information and access to the public in times of crisis, including delivery of severe storm coverage. UNC-TV has also run CBC-produced documentaries and political debate, and the organizations have partnered to produce community projects like North Carolina Remembers 9/11, NC 20/20 and Pops in the Park.
UNC-TV also recognized First Citizens Bank with the Corporate Award for on-going support as a broadcast underwriting partner, a special event sponsor and a production funder.
The 2013 Producers Circle Award went to Mary Coker Joslin and the late William Joslin of Raleigh. The couple supported UNC-TV at the organization’s highest donor level for almost 30 years, and provided for UNC-TV’s future by including public television in their estate plans.
