The Embers got the crowd dancing at the first Midweek Music concert at American Tobacco on August 14th. |
The Embers drew a big crowd for the first Midweek Music Series concert at American Tobacco two weeks ago, and now The Breakfast Club will play the second in the brand new series. Celebrate the middle of the work week with the free Midweek Music Series and re-charge your batteries.
The Breakfast Club takes the water tower stage from 6-9pm.
The Breakfast Club is the longest running, most recognized ’80’s tribute band in the United States. Formed in 1993, the group was the first of its kind. The mission was simple: create an entertainment group that embodied the enigmatic, creative, and buoyant spirit of music and live performances of the original MTV generation of the 1980’s.
Midweek is the perfect, toe-tapping way to take off the midweek edge and keep the weekend in your sights. It rounds out a stellar array of entertainment offerings at American Tobacco, including the Center Stage concert series.

The Embers play for the first concert in American Tobacco’s new Midweek Music series, drawing beach music fans to the campus on a Wednesday evening. |
Located on the grass within American Tobacco’s traditional campus, Midweek is an intimate way to see friends and enjoy the campus’ restaurants, which came together to help produce the new series. Picnics welcome, but no glass or alcohol, please.
The remaining shows in the four-concert series schedule includes:
- Aug 28 – The Breakfast Club
- Sept 4 – Abbey Road Live
- Sept 25 – The Dickens
Concerts run 6-9pm.
