The Durham Bulls won their fourth Governors’ Cup Championship trophy on Saturday and now have turned their sights on a shot at the National title. The Bulls will take on the Pacific Coast League champions, the Omaha Storm Chasers, in the Gildan Triple-A National Championship on Tuesday, September 17, 2013.
The Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs will host the game in their home field in Allentown, PA. Anybody up for singing a few bars of Billy Joel’s hit?

“What an exciting year it has been. It’s great to bring the Governors’ Cup back to Durham. I can’t wait to hoist the Trophy,” Wool E. Bull told Capcom. “I’m also excited to be going back to the National Championship Game. It will be a very exciting game against the Omaha Storm Chasers. It is always fun to entertain in other stadiums. I’m going to show them how we do it in Durham. Hopefully they will get a few shots of me doing my thing.”
See Wool E. Bull and Durham’s favorite baseball team on television on the NBC Sports Channel at 7:00pm. CBC’s sports radio station 99.9 The Fan will broadcast the game as well.
