WRAL-TV proudly served as Media Sponsor of the Fayetteville International Festival and took the opportunity to visit with viewers at the downtown cultural event. The Arts Council’s International Festival took place on Sept 27-29, 2013, and both WRAL-TV and WRAL.com’s Out & About served as sponsors.
Various WRAL personalities were on hand including Brian Shrader, Bryan Mims, Debra Morgan & David Crabtree.
“Fayetteville knows how to throw a party!” said Shrader. “The Dogwood Festival is always fun in the spring – and I love the International Folk Festival. Cumberland County is truly a melting pot, and the festival is a fun way to celebrate and learn the great mixture of cultures there.”

Attendees visited at the WRAL tent and picked up a “WRAL Love Fayetteville” bag, which turned out to be quite popular.
“Bill Burch, Debbie Tullos and Melissa Baize worked hard to make the tent a success!” said Shrader of the members of CBC’s Creative Service tent who coordinated the appearances.
The event included arts and crafts, music and dance, cultural food and a parade of nations. The 35th annual edition of the festival serves to “celebrate the richness of the diverse cultural roots of our community,” according to coordinators.
Thanks to WRAL-TV’s Bill Burch for these capcom photos.
