|
“We are excited about the opportunity to showcase and present these talented kids to our entire listening audience. This is going to be great fun for everyone involved.”
– WRAL-FM VP & GM Ardie Gregory
Capitol Broadcasting Company’s MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM is shining a light on local school choirs this holiday season and filling their stockings with cash!
Submissions are now being accepted for the MIX 101.5 Christmas Choir Competition. Local schools can showcase the artistic work being done by students and their teachers while having the opportunity to win up to $5,000 for their school’s choir program.
“MIX 101.5 has a long history of commitment to children and the Christmas Choir Competition expands this to highlight the importance of arts in schools,” said Ardie Gregory, MIX 101.5 VP / GM. “We are excited about the opportunity to showcase and present these talented kids to our entire listening audience. This is going to be great fun for everyone involved.”
To enter, schools will submit a recording of their choir performing their best Christmas song. Submissions will be divided into two divisions:
- Division I (kindergarten through 8th grade) and
- Division II (9th through 12th grade).
Semi-finalists from each division will be chosen and featured on MIX 101.5 during the month of December. Listeners will choose the first, second and third place winners via online votes.
The deadline for submission is Friday, November 22, 2013. School choirs can submit their entry now online at www.wralfm.com, through the mail or drop it off in person at the MIX 101.5 offices.
