Fueled by American Idol and the Super Bowl, the February sweeps period was very good for FOX 50. While we are seeing national headlines about the decline of American Idol, it remains very strong locally, delivering 6’s and 7’s. The only Prime programs with higher ratings in February were the Olympics, ACC Basketball, and The Big Bang Theory on WRAL. The FOX Prime block grew +23% year-to-year in Adults 18-49 and +17% in Adults 25-54.
FOX 50 saw success in other dayparts, as well.
WRAL’s Morning News on FOX 50 is tied with the Today show in key Women demographics, and the news at 10:00 PM beat WTVD in Male demographics.
Wendy Williams at 10:00 AM grew year-to-year and book-to-book.
Two and a Half Men in Access doubled shares from November and delivered 2’s in all key demos.
Family Feud at 6:00 PM is one of the strongest success stories in the Raleigh market, showing tremendous growth from November and ranking as the #1 non-news program in the time period.
Thanks to FOX 50’s Dan Straub for this capcom story.
