What does Jim Goodmon want his legacy to be? “I think it’s that I worked hard,” he told his son, Corporate Vice President of Real Estate Michael Goodmon, in a StoryCorps interview between the two.

On Wednesday, September 3, 2014, WUNC-FM aired the discussion between CBC President & CEO Jim Goodmon and his youngest son about the American Tobacco campus and the change its renovation has brought to downtown Durham. The revitalized property is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its rebirth.

The pair chatted in the StoryCorps’ mobile recording booth on the American Tobacco campus.

Goodmon concludes the piece by writing his own epithet: “Here lies Jim Goodmon. He really went after it.”
