CBC Invites You to Free Interfaith Breakfast on Martin Luther King Day

Martin Luther King, Jr.For the past 29 years, Capitol Broadcasting Company has served as the leading sponsor for the annual Martin Luther King Triangle Interfaith Prayer Breakfast. CBC is pleased to continue its support of this very important holiday observance.

This year, the event program on Monday, January 19, 2015, begins promptly at 7:15am and is scheduled to conclude at 9am. Due to parking and breakfast lines, all guests are asked to arrive no later than 6:30 am; the free breakfast will be available from 6-8am only.

The keynote speaker for this year’s event is The Reverend Dr. James H. Johnson, Jr, the William R. Kenan Jr. Distinguished Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship and Director of the Urban Investment Strategies Center at UNC-Chapel Hill. Johnson, a social entrepreneur, has spent the past two decades examining and testing strategies for successfully educating children who live in areas of concentrated poverty.

The majority of the program will air live on WRAL-TV from 8:00-9:00am that morning. The breakfast can be seen live in its entirety on WRAL.com.  This is the fourth year WRAL has produced a live on-air broadcast of the event.  The program will also air on FOX 50 from 12:00-1:00pm the same day.
