Renowned Local Caterer to Provide Service for PNC Triangle Club and Suite Level;
Rise Donut Kiosk Coming to Durham Bulls Athletic Park

Durham Catering & RiseThe Durham Bulls and Bull City Hospitality have announced a partnership with Durham Catering Co., who will provide food and service in the PNC Triangle Club and suite level at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Durham Catering Co. owner Tom Ferguson will also bring his popular Rise Biscuits & Donuts concept to the DBAP.

“One of our primary goals in bringing the ballpark’s food and beverage operation in-house was to deliver a more local approach,” said Durham Bulls General Manager Mike Birling. “Durham Catering has a sterling reputation in our community and we are positive this partnership will elevate the level of quality and service in our premium areas.”

Durham Catering Co. will serve as the caterer for the DBAP’s ten luxury suites, offering a special new menu with advance online ordering. The company will also provide buffet-style service for the membership-only PNC Triangle Club. Outside of baseball, Durham Catering Co. will serve as the exclusive caterer for special events at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, including weddings, parties, corporate events, and other occasions.

“I’ve wanted to break into sports venue catering for over five years,” said Ferguson. “I’m happy and excited that the Bulls are willing to place their trust in Durham Catering Co. to raise the level of guest experience above and beyond that of other sports venues. We look forward to seeing what the future brings for this dynamic new partnership!”

Rise Biscuits & Donuts, Ferguson’s award-winning venture that features both sweet and savory breakfast and lunch options, will also have a place at Durham Bulls games with a new Donut Kiosk located on the DBAP’s main concourse. The Rise Kiosk will offer longtime favorites like the Crème Brulee Donut and Maple Bacon Bar, as well as a rotating featured specialty donut.

The Durham Bulls open the 2015 International League campaign on the road on April 9 before returning to the DBAP for the ballpark’s 20th Anniversary season opener on Wednesday, April 15. Full season, Mini Plan, group and single game tickets for the 2015 season are available now. Tickets for the 2015 ACC Baseball Championship and USA Baseball games at the DBAP are also on sale now.
