MIX 101.5 Annual Radiothon Set for This Friday and Saturday

MIX 101.5 Radithon 2015WRAL-FM will spring into action with the 2015 MIX 101.5 Radiothon for Duke Children’s Hospital this Friday and Saturday, April 24 and 25.  After last year’s Radiothon had to persevere through a winter storm, MIX decided to move the event to a snow-free time of year.  Hope springs eternal and this time of year seems  a perfect backdrop for a two-day extravaganza inspired by helping children.

MIX personalities will broadcast live from the lobby of Duke Children’s Hospital from 6am – 7pm on Friday and 7am – 6pm on Saturday, ending with the grand check reveal.  MIX Morning Show Co-hosts Gene and Julie Gates, along with new Morning Show Producer Casey Tate will take part in their first MIX Radiothon alongside old pros and diehard Duke Children’s Hospital fans Vanna Fox and Jim Kelly.  WRAL-TV Health Reporter Dr. Allen Mask will be on hand Friday to help with interviews.

“Leading up to the Mix 101.5 Radiothon we’ve had the opportunity to meet many of these wonderful, courageous families who remind us what this broadcast is all about: saving lives of the beautiful children in our community with a top-notch medical facility in our own backyard,” said Julie Gates.  “Duke Children’s is a magical place where miracles happen on a daily basis. We look forward to seeing what magic will take place this week from the support of our community!”
