Thirteenth Capacity-Plus Crowd of the Year Breaks DBAP’s Previous Mark Set in 1998

Durham Bulls Sell Out recordSaturday night’s announced crowd of 10,417 is the thirteenth sellout at Durham Bulls Athletic Park this season, breaking the previous single-season high of twelve sellouts set in 1998.

The thirteen capacity-plus crowds this year include a July 4th attendance of 11,871, which set a new single-game record. In 2015 the Bulls have hosted three straight sellouts on two separate occasions (May 29-31, July 16-18), a feat that had never been achieved once prior to this season.

The new sellout mark comes on the heels of a record-breaking 2014 season, when the team set a new single-season paid attendance high with 533,033 cumulative fans. The Bulls have ten more home games this season in which to make a run at breaking that record again.
