Jim Goodmon, The State of ThingsCBC President and CEO Jim Goodmon spent some time on the Monday after Easter in a studio, but not for television.  Goodmon sat down at WUNC for an interview with Frank Stasio on “The State of Things” on Monday, March 28, 2016.  The pair talked about Goodmon’s long history in broadcasting and the work he’s done to help revitalize downtown Durham.

Goodmon talked about the day that WRAL-TV went on the air, as he watched his grandfather flip the switch.  At the time Goodmon was a 14-year-old boy.

“I have a boyish enthusiasm for sending pictures through the air,” said Goodmon.  “I come from the technical, production, keep-us-on-the-air side.”
