Buzz Sports Radio (WDNC), heard in Raleigh on 99.3FM/620AM and in Durham on 96.5FM/620AM and 99.9HD2, will continue its decades-long relationship as the flagship radio home and play-by-play rights holder for Duke University football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball, after signing a multi-year agreement with Blue Devil Sports IMG Network.
Along with football, men’s and women’s basketball, Buzz Sports Radio will also carry various specialty
programming, including The Kevin White Show featuring Duke’s director of athletics.
Capitol Broadcasting Sports Radio General Manger Brian Maloney said the agreement is good for fans.
“We are proud to continue and grow our nearly half century relationship with Duke Athletics on WDNC. With our recent expansion of the WDNC signal on the FM Dial (99.3 and 96.5), we will be able to bring the excitement of Duke Sports to more fans than ever before,” Maloney said in a statement.
“We are excited to continue the partnership with Capitol Broadcasting and bring all of our games and shows to our fans on Buzz Sports Radio,” said Kevin White, Duke vice president and director of athletics. “The longstanding relationship that we have enjoyed with Capitol is a credit to the Goodmon family and the support of General Manager Brian Maloney and his team over the years. Our sincere thanks goes out to all of them as we move forward.”
Along with Duke athletics, Buzz Sports Radio is home for The Morning Show with Mike, Lauren & Demetri, The Sports Shop with Reese and KMacmac, The Herd with Colin Cowherd, and The Right Time with Bomani Jones.
