MIX Awards The Mother of ALL Mother’s Day Prizes

MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM celebrated this year’s Mother’s Day by giving away a year’s worth of massages, house cleaning, weekly meals at Chick-fil-A and a trophy, themed “The Mother of ALL Mother’s Day Prizes.” Who doesn’t want a year’s worth of Chick-Fil-a?

Listeners were encouraged to have their children record a short message why their mom is the best and submit it online at wralfm.com.

“Each weekday at 8am, 1pm & 5pm, we played a clip of that message and if mom (or dad) recognized their child’s message they had to call us back within 10 mins to instantly win a wine and cheese basket that was directly delivered to their house and qualified for The Mother of ALL Mother Day’s Prizes,” explained WRAL-FM Promotions Director Jason Newton.

The Gene & Julie Show awarded the grand prize winner to Lorean Yezer of Raleigh Friday morning, May 6, 2016.

“As you can tell from the audio she was very excited and appreciated!” said Newton.

A little insider trivia? The adorable, sweet, cute voice you hear on the promo is Newton’s five-year-old princess, Maddie. Proud Dad, you think?
