American Tobacco Campus Hosts Week-Long Events

ACC Alumni VillageAs the ACC Baseball Championship bracket has been set, the American Tobacco Campus and other areas outside Durham Bulls Athletic Park will host week-long events for fans of the tournament, including the Alumni Village presented by Quintiles and the ACC Fan Fest.

The Alumni Village will be housed on the American Tobacco Campus Courtyard, across the street from the DBAP. From Wednesday through Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., alumni associations of the tournament’s final eight teams will each be represented with a tent from their respective school, featuring snacks and beverages and school apparel.

In addition to the school’s representatives, the ATC courtyard will also feature daily attractions. Wednesday will be Discover Durham Day with a showcase of Durham attractions, and on Thursday school mascots will be in attendance for University Day. A Youth Sports Clinic for coaches will take place on Friday, and Little League Baseball Day will feature special events for children on Saturday.

Returning for the second consecutive season is the ACC Fan Fest, which will take place from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday on Blackwell St. outside the DBAP. Organized by the Triangle Sports Commission, locally-renowned food trucks Porchetta, American Meltdown and Bam Pow Chow will be serving their specialty items, while attendees can enjoy an inflatable obstacle course, Wiffle Ball and skee ball. Fans can also check out the ACC Social Lounge featuring a big screen TV and official Championship merchandise.

The 2016 ACC Baseball Championship runs from May 24-29 at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Single-game tickets and ticket packages are on sale now at durhambulls.com, the Frontier Communications Ticket Office or by calling 919.956.BULL.
