Curious George and Clifford to Visit DBAP, Pawtucket Red Sox Make Annual Trip to Durham
The Durham Bulls return to the DBAP on Monday, July 4, as they kick off a week-long homestand against the Syracuse Chiefs and Pawtucket Red Sox featuring three fireworks shows. In addition to the City of Durham’s annual Fireworks Extravaganza on Independence Day, two more fireworks shows, $1 Concessions and an appearance by Curious George and Clifford highlight the event schedule.
On Independence Day the Bulls kick off a three-game set with the Syracuse Chiefs at 6:05 p.m. Monday’s game, presented by Strike Out Stroke, serves as the City of Durham’s official 4th of July Fireworks celebration.
Former NC State standout shortstop Trea Turner is scheduled to make the trip to the DBAP with the Chiefs, as the Bulls continue their series with the Washington Nationals’ Triple-A affiliate on Tuesday, July 5 at 7:05 p.m. The set wraps on Wednesday, July 6 at 7:05 p.m.
Durham welcomes the Pawtucket Red Sox to the DBAP on Thursday, July 7 for the first game of a four-game set presented by PDQ. That evening’s 7:05 p.m. contest features $1 Concessions, as Bright Leaf hot dogs, soda and popcorn are just a buck all game long.
Durham and the Boston Red Sox Triple-A team will battle again on Friday, July 8 at 7:05 p.m. Following that night’s game, presented by Quintiles, will be a Friday Night Fireworks show presented by bioMerieux as pyrotechnics light up the Downtown Durham skyline for the second time in five days.
The series continues on Saturday, July 9 with Military Appreciation Night presented by Implus, as the team honors those who have served. Following the 6:35 p.m. contest will be a postgame fireworks show thanks to JT’s Landscaping.
The homestand comes to a close against the PawSox on Sunday, July 10 at 5:05 p.m., as the DBAP will be visited by Curious George and Clifford courtesy of UNC-TV. The popular children’s characters will be on hand for photographs with fans throughout the game. Additionally that evening’s game, presented by CPI Security, will be followed by Kids Run the Bases sponsored by Nature’s Twist.
