Annual Event to be Held at DBAP on August 4

Merge Night at BullsThe Durham Bulls and Merge Records have teamed up for the fourth straight year to present the annual Merge Records Night at the DBAP, taking place on August 4. Durham-based independent label Merge will curate Bulls’ at-bat music, as the two Bull City icons will celebrate baseball and music for that night’s 7:05 p.m. contest against the Norfolk Tides.

Prior to the game Merge artists will be featured, as The Mountain Goats frontman and songwriter John Darnielle will throw a ceremonial first pitch, and Nashville-based guitarist William Tyler will perform the National Anthem. For the second year in a row, fans have the ability to purchase a Terrace View ticket and get a limited edition sampler CD of this season’s featured at-bat songs for just $8.99. The ticket/CD combo is available here by entering the promo code MERGE.

  1. The Mountain Goats  “Choked Out”
  2. Wye Oak “Watching the Waiting”
