Despite the extreme rainy weather, game cancellations and date moves, WRAL-TV’s brand new HighSchoolOT Live continues to cover area high school football games in a brand new format. Recently TVNewsCheck took notice, posting a two-part article by Paul Greenley, about the innovative addition to WRAL’s local sports coverage.
Greenley’s first article begins:
“Nothing like this is being done anywhere else — unless you go look at the NFL Network. We will have the ability to really change the way fans follow high school football.”
That’s how Nick Stevens, a high school football insider, characterized what Capitol Broadcasting’s WRAL is doing on Friday nights during football season in Raleigh in an article about the program on the NBC affiliate’s website.
Then Greenley writes, “What WRAL is doing is hard to get your head around, but once you do, you’ll find it revolutionary.”
