Two Fireworks Shows, $1 Concessions, ZOOperstars! Appearance Also Scheduled
The Durham Bulls return to the DBAP on Tuesday, May 30 for a seven-game, six-day homestand against the Rochester Red Wings and Pawtucket Red Sox. A Bark in the Park Night, $1 Concessions, two fireworks shows, a ZOOperstars! appearance and Merge Records Night highlight the promotional schedule.
The homestand opens with a doubleheader on Tuesday, May 30 at 6:05 p.m. against the Rochester Red Wings. The finale of Durham’s road series in Rochester was postponed because of rain on May 25, so the two teams will make up the contest at the DBAP that evening with two seven-inning contests. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. that night, and only one ticket is needed to attend both games.
The Bulls and Red Wings then battle once more on Wednesday, May 31 at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday’s contest is Bark in the Park presented by Suite Paws Pet Resort and Spa, where fans can bring their canine to the game. Human tickets for Bark in the Park cost $7.99 plus tax, while tickets for dogs are priced at $5 plus tax, with all proceeds benefiting Second Chance Pet Adoptions. Prior to the contest, all fans who bring their dog are encouraged to partake in a pregame dog parade on the field, beginning at 6:15 at the top of Section 122.
The series with the Minnesota Twins’ top affiliate comes to a close on Thursday, June 1. That evening’s 7:05 p.m. game is presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC), and features $1 Concessions as Bright Leaf hot dogs, soda and popcorn are just a buck all night long.
On Friday, June 2 the Bulls welcome the Pawtucket Red Sox to the DBAP for the opener of a three-game series. Following the 7:05 p.m. contest, presented by QuintilesIMS, will be a Friday Night Fireworks show presented by bioMerieux. Also making their way to the DBAP that evening will be the world-famous ZOOperstars!, who will entertain the crowd with their inflatable mascot antics throughout the game.
The Bulls and the Boston Red Sox’ top affiliate meet at 6:35 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, with that evening’s contest presented by Strike Out Stroke. Postgame, fans will be treated to a Saturday Night Fireworks Show presented by JT’s Landscaping.
The homestand comes to a close on Sunday, June 4 against Pawtucket at 5:05 p.m., as the Bulls celebrate their fifth annual Merge Records Night. That evening the two Bull City icons will once again team up for a celebration of music and baseball, and fans have the opportunity to purchase a limited-edition CD sampler and Terrace View ticket for just $9.99, using the promo code ‘MERGE.’ Sunday’s game is a SunSational Sunday presented by Sun Tan City, and following the game Kids Run the Bases presented by Nature’s Twist.
