Bark in the Park, Military Appreciation Night, Two Fireworks Shows also Scheduled
The Durham Bulls kick off a six-game homestand against the Louisville Bats and Indianapolis Indians on Tuesday, May 15. Wool E. Bull’s birthday celebration, Military Appreciation Night, $2 Tacos, $1 Concessions, food trucks and a pair of fireworks shows highlight the promotional calendar.
The six-game stanza begins with the first of three games against the Louisville Bats at 7:05 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15. That evening’s contest, presented by GKN Driveline, is $2 Taco Tuesday, as tacos will be just $2 all evening long.
The series against the Cincinnati Reds’ top affiliate continues on Wednesday, May 16 with the season’s second Bark in the Park event, presented by ZoomyDogs! For the 7:05 p.m. contest fans are able to bring their dogs to the DBAP, with human tickets costing $7.99 plus tax and canine tickets costing $5 plus tax with all proceeds benefiting Second Chance Pet Adoptions. Prior to the game fans are encouraged to bring their furry friend on the field for a pregame dog parade, which will begin at 6:20 p.m.
The Bulls and Bats conclude their series at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday, May 17 with $1 Concessions, as Bright Leaf hot dogs, Pepsi products and popcorn are just a buck all evening long. Thursday’s contest is also Medical Professionals Night presented by WGU North Carolina, as the first 250 medical professionals to purchase a ticket using the code WGU will receive a cobranded Bulls and WGU scrub top and $5 in Bulls Bucks.
The homestand continues on Friday, May 18 as the Bulls celebrate Military Appreciation Night against the Indianapolis Indians, presented by Allscripts. Throughout the evening the Bulls will honor active and former military members for the 7:05 p.m. game. During the game local food trucks Bull City Street Food and Mama Voula’s will be serving their delicacies, and following the contest will be a Friday Night Fireworks show presented by bioMerieux.
On Saturday, May 19 the Bulls battle the Pittsburgh Pirates’ Triple-A affiliate at 6:35 p.m., with the evening’s game presented by Strike Out Stroke. After the game comes to an end, fans will be treated to a fireworks spectacular presented by JT’s Landscaping.
The six-game homestand comes to a close on Sunday, May 20 at 5:05 p.m. as the DBAP celebrates Wool E. Bull’s birthday, as Minor League Baseball’s best mascot will be joined by mascots from around North Carolina for his special celebration. Sunday’s contest is also a SunSational Sunday presented by Sun Tan City, and following the game children get to show off their speed with Kids Run the Bases presented by Nature’s Twist.
