On May 1, 2019, That Station officially turned one. And what better way to wrap the radio birthday month than with a party! Come celebrate with That Station at Abby Road Grill on Friday, May 31 from 5-7pm. The first 50 people will get a drink on That Station.
”This past year has been so much fun and has flown by!” said That Station Music Curator Sean McHugh. “It’s a real treat to be a part of an innovative and forward thinking, different type of radio station that has been given the freedom to stretch out in many different ways like That Station does.”
“FM, App, and Streaming as well as our social media presence, gives That Station the ability to reach it’s listeners in real time, across several platforms and enables people of all ages and backgrounds to discover new music, local music, while enjoying classics and at the same time learning more about their community and their neighbors,” added McHugh.
That Station plays a wide variety of musical genres including Rock, Folk, Blues, Americana and local music.
“There is a special feeling while curating a show, very similar to the special feeling when you are listening to radio and you hear something that makes you smile, laugh, cry, or blast the volume!” said McHugh. “It’s a pleasure to serve our listeners and team up with local businesses and non-profits to create the lifestyle of ‘THAT STATION’ together!”
McHugh is ready to revel with listeners to mark a great year together.
“I hope you’ll join us this Friday, May 31st, at Abbey Road Tavern and Grill in Cary from 5pm – 7pm and celebrate our 1 year anniversary with live music, live broadcast, giveaways, and of course…CAKE!” he said. “See you Friday and thanks for listening to That Station!”
The fun will feature live music by Leroy Savage. Hang out with live music, McHugh and his fellow That Station curator Kristen Kokkelenberg.
